Here is the GDD for this project: Isometric is a type of orthographic projection, which is a method of mapping a three dimensional object onto a two dimensional space, the scale along each axis Is the same. Isometric projections are used to create 3D-like images of objects. In short this means the camera only focuses on one angle the whole entirety of the game. Insometric games are something like Minecraft Dungeons or Hades. Some examples are shown below: Here is some Models I made in Maya for the upcoming isometric game. It is a pillar to be used as a background item will collision, this was made with using the extrude tool and the edge loops tool. How is Trigonometry is used in games? Trigonometry can be used in many ways inside of game development. such as calculating angles and distances such as vectors and such. It can also be used to determine player speed overall. Examples of Trigonometry in Isometric Games: 1. Minecraft Dungeons: The vectors in this photo represent t...
ANIMATION PRINCIPLES CHALLENGE . The 12 principles of animation are stages of animation and how an animation is styled depending on which principle is used to animate someone or something in a 2D/3D space. Animators use these to make their models animations look more smooth and realistic for movement. I mostly used squash and stretch with a mix of movement of objects within Maya to simulate how objects would move in a final project. I have learnt that Animation is an enjoyable factor of Game Development and it is limitless to what you can do with it. My Reflection The quality of my animation is basic enough to where it is smooth and the minimum of realism that you would see inside a game, however the ball squashing the rectangle could be more realistic looking. This is also using Mayas Animation Timeline with the use of Rotation and Movement to make it look like it is swinging realistically. Here is a Bouncy Ball we made in Maya using graphs to make the animation look reali...
